Delicious white bean garlic hummus recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) white beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or roasted)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients on the counter.
  2. Drain and rinse 1 can (15 oz) of white beans thoroughly under cold water.
  3. In a food processor, combine the rinsed white beans, 2 cloves of minced raw garlic, the juice of 1 large lemon, 3 tablespoons of tahini, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, ½ teaspoon of ground cumin, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  4. Secure the lid on your food processor and pulse everything together until smooth.
  5. If the mixture seems too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired creamy consistency.
  6. Once blended smoothly, taste the hummus and adjust seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if needed.
  7. Transfer your hummus into a serving bowl and create swirls on top with the back of a spoon.
  8. Drizzle with an extra splash of olive oil and sprinkle some paprika or chopped parsley for garnish.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs or crunchy veggies around the edges and serve immediately alongside warm pita bread or crispy veggie sticks.
