Delicious sweet & spicy sesame chicken meatballs with rice bowls recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • 1 pound ground chicken, fresh
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey, pure
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • salt to taste
  • rice, jasmine or basmati

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground chicken, 1 cup of panko breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of chili paste, 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger, and salt to taste.
  3. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined but avoid overmixing.
  4. Scoop out about two tablespoons of mixture and roll it into balls about golf ball size.
  5. Place the meatballs on your prepared baking sheet about two inches apart.
  6. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Cook your rice according to package instructions while the meatballs are baking.
  8. Fluff the rice once it's done cooking.
  9. Serve by placing fluffy rice at the bottom of each bowl topped generously with sweet & spicy sesame chicken meatballs.
  10. Drizzle any leftover sauce from the baking sheet over the top and garnish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Reheat meatballs in the microwave.

Serve over steamed jasmine rice.

Add green onions for extra flavor.
