Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup cooked chicken ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing muffin tin
  • Optional garnishes: chopped green onions, cilantro, or a drizzle of sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
  3. Shape wonton wrappers by gently pressing each into a muffin cup, allowing edges to overlap slightly.
  4. Mix filling: In a medium bowl, combine diced chicken ham, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  5. Fill the cups with the mixture, almost to the top, being careful not to overfill.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Cool slightly for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Optional garnish: Add chopped green onions, cilantro, or a drizzle of sour cream.

Notes

For extra crispiness, lightly brush edges of wonton wrappers with oil before baking.

The recipe can be customized with different cheeses, proteins, or vegetables.

To reduce heat, remove jalapeño seeds or use a milder pepper.

Perfect for make-ahead prep: filling can be prepared a day in advance.
