Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 2 cups of almond milk and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
  2. Whisk continuously until fully integrated and warmed through but not boiling for about 5 minutes.
  3. Once the mixture is steaming, add in 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
  4. Stir well until everything is combined.
  5. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of agar-agar powder while whisking vigorously to ensure there are no lumps.
  6. Keep stirring until it’s completely dissolved for about another minute.
  7. Lower the heat slightly and let the mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat and pour into your favorite mugs.
