Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 150g turkey bacon, chopped
  • 150g chicken ham, diced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Position the oven rack in the center.
  2. Cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and toss with a little olive oil.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook turkey bacon until slightly crispy, 4–5 minutes. Add chicken ham and cook 2–3 more minutes.
  4. Add chopped onions and garlic to the skillet. Sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant. If using mushrooms, cook until soft.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, black pepper, and dried oregano. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Combine cooked spaghetti with sauce, turkey bacon, chicken ham, and vegetables. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Grease a round baking dish lightly. Arrange spaghetti in a circular, spiral pattern, creating grooves and ridges to resemble a brain.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top, filling the grooves for effect.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling. Monitor to avoid over-browning.
  10. Let the bake rest 5 minutes before serving to set. Serve warm.
