Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a food processor or blender.
  2. Add the crumbled feta cheese to the processor.
  3. Drop in the minced garlic, ground cumin, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  4. Drizzle in the olive oil over the ingredients.
  5. Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed to fully incorporate all ingredients.
  6. Add the chopped parsley or cilantro. Pulse briefly if you want visible herb flecks, or blend fully for a smoother dip.
  7. Taste the dip and adjust seasonings—add more lemon juice for brightness or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs or crumbled feta, if desired.
  9. Serve immediately with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For chunkier texture, mash by hand instead of blending.

To reduce browning, store with plastic wrap pressed against the surface.

Add Greek yogurt for a tangier twist.

This dip works well as a sandwich spread or bowl topping.
