Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g ground beef
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 30 dumpling wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Place one dumpling wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger or a brush.
  4. Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press edges firmly to seal, creating pleats if desired.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Arrange dumplings flat side down in the skillet, avoiding overcrowding.
  7. Fry for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden and crisp.
  8. Pour 1/4 cup water into the skillet carefully, then cover with a lid.
  9. Steam dumplings for 5-6 minutes until water evaporates and filling is cooked.
  10. Remove lid and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to re-crisp the bottoms.
  11. Serve immediately with dipping sauce.

Notes

Do not overfill dumplings to avoid tearing or leaking.

Use a non-stick pan for best results.

Adjust seasoning of filling according to taste.
