Delicious oreo macarons recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • Oreo cookies (crushed), amount as needed for filling
  • 12 cups icing sugar, to taste for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  3. In a mixing bowl, sift together 1 cup of almond flour, 1 cup of icing sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
  4. In another bowl, use an electric mixer to whip 3 large egg whites until frothy.
  5. Gradually add in ½ cup of caster sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the whipped egg whites using a spatula.
  7. Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip.
  8. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each one.
  9. Tap the baking sheet gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.
  10. Bake in your preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes or until they have formed feet.
  11. Let them cool completely before removing from the baking sheet.
  12. While waiting, prepare your filling by beating together ½ cup softened unsalted butter with crushed Oreo cookies and enough icing sugar until it reaches your desired sweetness and consistency.
  13. Once cooled, pipe or spread some Oreo filling onto half of your macaron shells and sandwich them together with their matching halves.

Notes

Store macarons in an airtight container.

Reheat briefly in the microwave.

Serve with cold milk or coffee.

Use room temperature egg whites only.
