Ingredients

  • 6 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup neutral oil (like canola or sunflower)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Peel about six cloves of fresh garlic and cut off the ends.
  2. Place the garlic cloves in a food processor.
  3. Sprinkle about half a teaspoon of fine sea salt over the garlic cloves in the food processor.
  4. Pulse the garlic and salt together until you achieve a smooth paste.
  5. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in one cup of neutral oil until you have a thick, creamy consistency.
  6. Add two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and three tablespoons of cold water to loosen the mixture and blend again until well combined.
  7. Transfer the Lebanese Garlic Sauce into a serving bowl, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover garlic sauce airtight in refrigerator.
