Delicious irish cream oreo truffles recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet or dark
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Irish cream-flavored coffee creamer
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts for decoration

Instructions

  1. Start by placing your Oreo cookies in a food processor.
  2. Pulse until they reach fine crumbs resembling sand, about 15-20 seconds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine your finely crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese.
  4. Using an electric mixer or sturdy spatula, mix until fully combined and there are no visible white streaks left.
  5. Scoop out about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into balls about 1 inch in size.
  6. Place these truffle balls onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Once all your truffle balls are formed, pop them into the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  8. Melt your chocolate chips in either a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler method until smooth.
  9. Take each chilled truffle and dip it into the melted chocolate using two forks.
  10. Let any excess chocolate drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
  11. Before the chocolate sets completely, sprinkle some cocoa powder or fun sprinkles on top for added flair.
  12. Allow them to set completely at room temperature or pop them back into the fridge.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container.

Reheat gently in microwave, briefly.

Serve with coffee or tea pairing.

Chill dough before rolling for ease.
