Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce (mild or medium)
  • Cooking spray or oil for crisping tortillas

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Lightly coat tortillas with cooking spray or oil. Cook each tortilla in a skillet over medium heat for 1–2 minutes per side until slightly golden and crispy.
  3. Spread refried beans evenly over one tortilla.
  4. Layer cooked beef on top of the beans.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the beef.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes, green onions, and black olives if using.
  7. Drizzle taco sauce over the toppings.
  8. Place the second tortilla on top and gently press down.
  9. Return the assembled pizza to the skillet over low heat. Cover and heat for 2–3 minutes until cheese melts and layers bind.
  10. Slice into squares or triangles and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, lightly toast tortillas before assembling.

Customize toppings with bell peppers, corn, or jalapeños.

Use mild or medium taco sauce depending on your spice preference.
