The Green Goddess Pasta Sauce is a vibrant, creamy, and herb-packed sauce that transforms any pasta dish into a fresh and flavorful meal. Perfect for weeknight dinners, casual gatherings, or meal prep, this sauce is versatile, quick to prepare, and highly customizable. Its combination of fresh herbs, garlic, and lemon provides brightness, while Greek yogurt adds creaminess without heaviness. Optional turkey bacon or chicken ham adds protein and a savory touch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh tarragon, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh chives, chopped
  • 23 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 34 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or light cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 400g pasta of your choice
  • Optional: 100g turkey bacon or chicken ham, diced

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry parsley, tarragon, and chives. Chop garlic cloves.
  2. In a food processor or blender, combine herbs, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth, scraping sides occasionally.
  3. Add Greek yogurt or light cream and blend until fully incorporated. Adjust consistency with water or olive oil if needed.
  4. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  5. Optional: Pan-fry turkey bacon or chicken ham until golden and crispy, then set aside.
  6. Toss cooked pasta with sauce in the pot. Add reserved pasta water gradually if needed for consistency.
  7. Stir in cooked turkey bacon or chicken ham if using. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or lemon juice.
  8. Serve immediately, optionally drizzling extra olive oil on top.

Notes

Sauce can be made 1–2 days ahead and stored in the refrigerator.

Can be served warm, at room temperature, or chilled as a dip.

Substitute Greek yogurt with plant-based yogurt or cashew cream for a vegan version.

Mix in roasted vegetables or grilled protein for extra variety.
