  • 1 pound fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, preferably toasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of Gochujang, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and the juice from half a lemon.
  3. Whisk until smooth to prepare the sauce.
  4. In another large bowl, place your fresh broccoli florets.
  5. Pour half of your prepared sauce over the florets and toss vigorously until well-coated.
  6. Spread the sauced broccoli evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Make sure the broccoli is in a single layer and slide them into your preheated oven.
  8. Roast for about 15-20 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
  9. Once out of the oven, drizzle the remaining sauce over your hot broccoli while tossing gently to ensure even coverage.
  10. Transfer your Gochujang Broccoli onto a serving platter.
  11. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced scallions if desired.
  12. Serve immediately and enjoy while hot.
