Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened butter with minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and parsley if using. Mix until smooth.
  3. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry to smooth out creases.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the puff pastry, covering all edges.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
  6. Cut the pastry into squares, rectangles, or desired shapes.
  7. Optional: Brush each puff lightly with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Arrange puffs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding small bits of cooked turkey bacon or chicken ham inside the puffs.

Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary can be added for a fragrant twist.

Puffs can be prepared ahead of time and baked fresh when needed.
