These Low-Calorie Banana Snickers are a lighter, healthier twist on the classic candy bar. They are made with ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter, and smooth chocolate for a frozen treat that is naturally sweet, delicious, and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 200g dark chocolate (or sugar-free chocolate of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons crushed peanuts (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into ½-inch rounds. Arrange the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Top each banana slice with a small spoonful of peanut butter, spreading evenly.
  3. Place the tray in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until the bananas are firm.
  4. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  5. Remove the bananas from the freezer. Dip each banana-peanut butter bite into the melted chocolate using a fork, letting the excess drip off.
  6. Place the coated bites back on the tray and sprinkle with crushed peanuts before the chocolate sets.
  7. Freeze again for 15–20 minutes until the chocolate is fully hardened.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the freezer and enjoy as needed.

Notes

For a nut-free version, replace peanut butter with sunflower seed butter or tahini.

You can use milk chocolate or sugar-free chocolate chips instead of dark chocolate.

Add toppings like sea salt flakes or shredded coconut for extra flavor.

These bites are best eaten straight from the freezer for the best texture.
