Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for melting chocolate)
  • Festive sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Grease a large mixing bowl and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Add marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  6. Let the mixture cool slightly. Lightly grease your hands to prevent sticking.
  7. Scoop portions and roll into balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 cups of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  9. Dip each Rice Krispie ball into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  10. Immediately decorate with sprinkles or nuts, if desired.
  11. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chocolate is set.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
