Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) ground turkey
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus extra if needed)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional herbs: fresh parsley or thyme

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel (optional), and cube the potatoes into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Chop the onion finely and mince the garlic.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the potatoes in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender and golden. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed. Sauté the onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  6. Add ground turkey and cook over medium heat for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart, until fully browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  7. Return the potatoes to the skillet, gently mixing with the turkey. Cook together for 3–5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in optional fresh herbs. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  9. Serve hot, alone or with a side of vegetables or salad.

Notes

Parboiling potatoes before skillet cooking can save time.
