These Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites combine a crispy, golden exterior with a creamy, fruity filling. Perfect for parties, family gatherings, or a quick indulgent snack, they are easy to make and highly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, finely diced (or strawberry preserves)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, optional, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries or preserves gently to create a marbled effect.
  2. Prepare the wrappers: Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Keep a small bowl of beaten egg nearby.
  3. Fill the wontons: Place approximately 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper.
  4. Seal the wontons: Brush edges with beaten egg, fold into a triangle or pouch, and press edges firmly. Remove air pockets and press with a fork if desired.
  5. Heat the oil: Fill a skillet or saucepan with 2 inches of vegetable oil and heat to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the wontons: Fry in small batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate/caramel. Serve warm.

Notes

For a healthier version, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes instead of frying.

Use different fruit fillings for variation, such as blueberries, raspberries, or peach preserves.

Ensure the wrappers are tightly sealed to prevent leakage during frying.
