This recipe is easy to customize, budget-friendly, and can be prepared in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 4 slices of turkey bacon
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup sliced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: avocado slices or pickles for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to drain.
  3. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons olive oil. Cook the chicken strips for 4–6 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
  4. Reduce heat to low, add ½ cup BBQ sauce to the chicken, and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Wash and shred the lettuce, slice the tomato, red onion, and optional avocado.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 10–15 seconds until soft.
  7. Lay a tortilla flat, then layer shredded lettuce, BBQ chicken, turkey bacon, tomato, red onion, cheddar cheese, and optional avocado or pickles.
  8. Fold the sides inward and roll the tortilla tightly from bottom to top.
  9. Optional: Toast the wrapped tortilla in the skillet for 1–2 minutes per side to melt the cheese and create a golden crust.
  10. Slice diagonally and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a small drizzle of your favorite dressing or sauce.

Adjust the vegetables according to your preference or seasonal availability.

The wrap can be made ahead, but assemble just before serving to avoid soggy tortillas.
