This Creamy Red Pepper Alfredo Sauce is a smooth, flavorful twist on classic Alfredo. Made with roasted red peppers, garlic, cream, and Parmesan, it’s rich yet balanced, easy to make, and perfect for pasta, chicken, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (about 12 ounces) roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Add chopped roasted red peppers to the skillet. Stir well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes to warm and deepen the flavor.
  4. Transfer the garlic and red pepper mixture into a blender or food processor. Add the heavy cream and blend until the mixture is completely smooth.
  5. Pour the blended sauce back into the skillet and place it over medium-low heat.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce begins to thicken.
  7. Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Let the sauce simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Once the sauce reaches a creamy consistency, remove from heat.
  9. Serve immediately over hot pasta, grilled chicken, or steamed vegetables. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan.

For a smoother texture, ensure the sauce is fully blended before reheating.

Adjust the consistency by adding a splash of broth if the sauce becomes too thick.

The sauce can be made ahead and reheated gently before serving.
