Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices in a toaster or toaster oven until golden brown.
  2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a small bowl.
  3. Mash the avocado with a fork, leaving small chunks for texture.
  4. Add lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and black pepper to the avocado, and mix well.
  5. Stir the cottage cheese lightly if desired and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
