These chewy brownies are rich, fudgy, and loaded with creamy peanut butter and colorful REESE’S PIECES candy. With a crisp top, soft center, and bursts of chocolate and peanut butter in every bite, they’re a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips
  • 1 cup REESE’S PIECES (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan, melt the butter. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the creamy peanut butter and mix until fully combined.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Sift the cocoa powder, flour, and salt directly into the wet mixture. Fold gently using a rubber spatula until no streaks of flour remain.
  7. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chunks and ¾ of the REESE’S PIECES. Do not overmix.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining REESE’S PIECES over the top and gently press them into the surface.
  9. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking.
  10. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 20–30 minutes. Slice into squares once fully set. Serve plain or with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

You can substitute chocolate chunks with chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars.

For added crunch, mix in chopped peanuts or swirl in extra peanut butter before baking.

To make these brownies gluten-free, replace the all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free blend.

Cooling completely before cutting results in cleaner slices.
