This Chai Spice Puppy Chow is a quick, no-bake snack that combines the cozy flavors of chai tea with the sweet crunch of classic puppy chow. Perfect for parties, holiday gifts, or an afternoon snack, this treat is easy to make and full of warm spices.

  • 9 cups rice or corn cereal squares
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Measure and prepare all ingredients before starting. Place the cereal in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave for 20–30 seconds at a time, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal. Gently fold with a spatula until every piece is coated.
  5. In a large zip-top bag, mix powdered sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
  6. Transfer coated cereal into the bag with the chai sugar mixture. Seal and shake until all cereal is evenly coated.
  7. Spread mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let it cool for 15–20 minutes.
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl or airtight container for storage.

Notes

For a nut-free option, use sunflower seed butter.

You can adjust spices to taste for a stronger or milder chai flavor.

This snack is best enjoyed within 3 days for maximum crunch.
