Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of pre-made crescent roll dough
  • 4 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
  • Optional: chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit jam
  • Sturdy sticks for roasting

Instructions

  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean, lightly floured surface.
  2. Cut the dough into strips about 1–2 inches wide.
  3. Brush each strip evenly with melted butter.
  4. Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered dough strips.
  6. Add optional fillings, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit jam, if desired.
  7. Wrap each strip carefully around the end of a sturdy stick, leaving room for expansion.
  8. Prepare your fire pit or campfire, ensuring there is a layer of hot embers. Avoid cooking directly over large flames.
  9. Hold the sticks with dough over the embers, rotating slowly for even cooking. Cook for 5–10 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Check that the dough is fully cooked by gently pressing it with a spatula or fork. Adjust distance from the fire as needed.
  11. Remove the rolls from the sticks and allow them to cool for a minute before serving.
