Brownie Batter Overnight Oats are a wholesome, chocolate-flavored breakfast that feels like dessert but provides lasting energy. With simple ingredients and an easy method, this recipe is perfect for meal prep and busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ΒΌ cup Greek yogurt (optional, for creaminess)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Toppings: sliced bananas, berries, nuts, or nut butter

Instructions

  1. Place rolled oats, cocoa powder, and chia seeds into a mixing bowl or jar. Stir until the cocoa powder is well blended with the oats.
  2. Pour in the milk of your choice, then add honey or maple syrup. Stir well to combine.
  3. Add Greek yogurt if using, along with a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
  4. If mixing in a bowl, transfer the mixture into a clean jar or airtight container.
  5. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the oats to soften and the flavors to blend.
  6. In the morning, stir the oats, then add your preferred toppings such as sliced bananas, fresh berries, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of nut butter.
  7. Serve cold directly from the jar or warm in the microwave for 30–60 seconds if desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by increasing or reducing the honey or maple syrup.

Add protein powder for extra nutrition.

For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and dairy-free yogurt.

Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
