This indulgent layered pie combines a chocolate cookie crust, a creamy cheesecake-style filling, rich chocolate pudding, and a fluffy whipped topping. It’s easy to make, budget-friendly, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container whipped topping (divided)
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the crumbs with melted butter and stir until evenly coated.
  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust. Place in the refrigerator to chill.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  5. Fold in half of the whipped topping to create a light, airy filling. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled cookie crust.
  6. In another bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Spread evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer, smoothing it with a spatula.
  8. Garnish with chocolate chips, shavings, or additional crushed cookies.
  9. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving to allow the layers to set.

Notes

For extra richness, drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce on top before serving.

To make it lighter, substitute reduced-fat cream cheese and light whipped topping.

Homemade whipped cream can replace the store-bought topping if preferred.
