Baked cottage cheese eggs are a creamy, protein-packed dish perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner. The combination of eggs and cottage cheese creates a soft, velvety texture, while simple seasonings enhance the natural flavors.   • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh herbs like parsley or chives for garnish
  • Optional additions: sautéed vegetables, chicken ham, or turkey bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the oven rack in the middle position.
  2. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish with olive oil, butter, or non-stick spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until fully combined.
  4. Gently stir in cottage cheese until the mixture is uniform.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika if desired. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a knife in the center; it should come out mostly clean.
  8. Optional: Sprinkle fresh herbs, diced vegetables, chicken ham, or turkey bacon on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 3–5 minutes.
  10. Serve warm, either alone or paired with toast, salad, or avocado slices.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use full-fat cottage cheese.

Customize with your favorite herbs or vegetables.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Avoid overbaking to maintain a creamy texture.
