This Chicken Pesto Flatbread is a quick, flavorful, and versatile meal perfect for lunch, dinner, or entertaining guests. With tender chicken, crispy turkey bacon, savory chicken ham, and creamy pesto on a warm flatbread, it’s a dish that’s easy to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • Flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)
  • Cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded
  • Turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Chicken ham, thinly sliced
  • Pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: cherry tomatoes, spinach, roasted peppers, or arugula

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. If not pre-cooked, cook chicken breast until fully done, season with salt and pepper, then slice or shred.
  3. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crisp, then crumble and set aside.
  4. Lay flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  5. Spread a generous layer of pesto over each flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Arrange the chicken, turkey bacon, and chicken ham evenly over the pesto.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Add optional toppings if desired.
  8. Lightly season with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice into portions and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like basil or oregano after baking.

Flatbreads can be toasted in a skillet for a quicker version.
